Let’s be real strokes are not a joking matter.  The more you know about strokes what causes them, their signs, and their symptoms the better you will be able to react in the event of an emergency. Please read below and click on the links to find out more about strokes during National Stroke Awareness month

Type of Strokes

Ischemic (Clots)Hemorrhagic (Bleed)
TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack)Ischemic

Ischemic stroke occurs as a result of an obstruction within a blood vessel supplying blood to the brain. It accounts for 87 percent of all stroke cases. Learn moreHemorrhagic

Hemorrhagic stroke occurs when a weakened blood vessel ruptures. Two types of weakened blood vessels usually cause hemorrhagic stroke: aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). Learn moreTIA
