Hold Your Feet To The Fire, A Lesson On Accountable Accountability, Part 1

Hold your feet to the fire-To hold one accountable for a commitment, make good on a promise.Pertains to torture used during the Crusade’s. In a recent conversation the phrase, “Hold Your Feet To Fire” was mentioned as a way to address the notion of Accountable Accountability for those in positions of power. “Hold Your Feet To The Fire” is an ancient concept that dates back to a period in history when it was used as a torture exercise to get a person to confess to their beliefs or die from the painful injury. In modern times, “Hold Your Feet To The Fire” has been associated with politicians, business executives, and others in leadership positions. “Hold Your Feet To The Fire” can be used as a method of Accountable Accountability for those who commit, promise or are expected to accomplish a task. The popular catch phrase of “Hold Your Feet To The Fire” should not just be reserved for the politician, business executive or leader but for everyone who makes a promise or commits to getting things accomplished.
