YoTrip-Words and Thoughts for Wednesday, December 23, 2009-Christmas:Past, Present and Promised Future
Happy Christmas everyone! Are you celebrating Christ Jesus? Emmanuel “God With Us” If you did not know He is the reason for the season now and always! Enjoy the gifts and the giving, but remember He is the gift, and the giver!
I thought this was worthy of a repost… May your day be filled with joy unspeakable
CHRISTMAS literally means the Mass (celebration) of Christ. “Christ” is a Greek word and title, meaning “anointed” or one set apart by God for a special purpose. “Christ” is equivalent to the Hebrew word “Messiah.
“CHRISTMAS is a past, a present and a promised future. Christmas past is filled with thoughts of times gone by. The memories of childhood wonderment as the season’s lights dance in your eyes. Christmas present is upon us and the “dasher’s and prancer’s” are out and about in the madding rush to make someone happy for a day or two. Christmas promised future is the time hoped for in the distant coming soon, when we can get back to the real meaning of this time of year.
CHRISTMAS is a Mass Celebration of Christ, the “anointed” one who was given to us as the greatest gift the world could ever receive. Christ is the blessing that is our past, in our present, and in our promised future. Stay mindful that Christ is the reason, as you commemorate and celebrate the season.” 12/23/09
