LISTEN

Have you ever really took the time to merely LISTEN, not utter a word. I had a light bulb moment this morning, I had to admit that so often I am so busy talking, I spend little time utilizing my ability to  LISTEN.

While involved in a discussion, I was told that sometimes we need to just LISTEN and not talk. Now certainly, this was not a new concept but I think my ears were hearing differently.

LISTEN, can you hear me? The very essence of using your LISTENING skills is the foundation of communication. Be open to exercising your LISTENING power.
Words have the power to help you, hurt you, or heal you when you stop and LISTEN.

When we pause and LISTEN, it allows us an opportunity to absorb and take in what others are saying. We can learn a lot by opening our ears more and our mouths less. LISTENING Is a practice to enbrace, and will take time to master. It is not easy to talk and LISTEN at the same time, usually something gets overlooked or missed. 

I am vowing to work on becoming a better LISTENER. The acknowledgment of the need to LISTEN more and talk less, is an important first step. Here is my personal buzz phrase, “LISTEN more, learn more. LISTEN less, learn less. I can hear you because I take the time to LISTEN!
