Losing to Gain (Places)

Have you ever been standing in line at a retail shop, grocery store or bank and remembered you left something or needed one more thing before you checked out? This activity is frustrating when you are also the next person to be assisted with your transaction. Just when you are almost there you lose your place. Or maybe you are reading a book and get interrupted or distracted and do not have a bookmark, you lose your place in the book. What if you are a competitive track and field sprinter and your last time was not your best time, you lose your place in the standings? If you are one of the countless people who have been plagued by the downturn in the economy, you were unable to make your mortgage payments, you lose your place/home.

These days many people find themselves in situations that seem to take them off track, put them out of order and rattle their routines. One step outside of the comfort of the norm and it throws your life into an uproar. It seems that many people feel like the words of the song that were so beautifully penned by Michael W. Smith back in the early ’90′s. The song, “My Place In This World”, speaks clearly to losing your place, and seeking a solution to finding your way back to the LIGHT that holds all the answers.
