“Let your LACK…Make an IMPACT”
Have ever been told that you LACK… “the skills we are seeking for this position”, “the money to fund your dream”, “the knowledge to perform a task”, “the experience to challenge others”, “the name recognition” and it goes on and on? Once you are given this notice of your apparent “short-comings” you are put on the seat of decision, you can see your LACK as a SETBACK or see your LACK Make an IMPACT.
If you accept the idea that your LACK is a SETBACK, then you give those that feel “you can’t, you won’t, and you never will” a red light for speaking failure into your life. LACK as a SETBACK is easy to embrace if you have given up on you and what you believe you can do, be, and become. SETBACKS can be viewed as events that require a time of reflection on the activities or actions taken to reach this point, in other words what did I LACK. It has been said that SETBACKS are a setup for a comeback; you can make the choice on if the LACK will be a SETBACK in your life. When you see the LACK as a SETBACK, you decide to give up and give in on your ability to be a success.
When you Let your LACK Make an IMPACT, you realize that underdogs or the one everyone counted out can be counted on and make a difference. Once you determine that others will not stand in your way to becoming a success, you start to build on your LACK. Only you can take their words of discouragement spoken to you and turn them into words of encouragement- “I have skills that are useful”, “I will make money to fund my dream”, “I am knowledgeable about many things”, “my experience can work to my advantage”, “and my name is my personal brand”. Let your LACK Make an IMPACT by envisioning what you want to achieve and then take the steps needed to make it happen! 7/22/10
